t was getting way too cold in Cape Town so we decided to spend the last of our money on a ticket to Tanzania! I’ve been meaning to do my IKO Instructors course and this turned out to be the perfect opportunity to finally get it done. The first few days after we arrived we absoloutely scored! The wind was absoloutely cooking with every day being 20-25knts, this was absoloutely perfect for my 12m Switchblade and was the perfect opportunity to really get to know this kite! In the first 5 days we spent over 10 hours in the water and scored a lot of progression! After the first 5 days the weather turned and our course began – luckily…! We had a solid week of kak conditions but luckily we had so much work to do that most of the time a session was off the cards already! The IKO Assistnt course was incredibly interesting and I learned a lot, however we started the day at 9am, with an hour break at 12:30 and finished close to sunset at 6pm – WITH 1-2 hours of homework if you were doing it properly. Safe to say, I did do it properly because I finished the course with a 94% on my final exam!
