Can you summarize what you do?
We design tailor-made kite trips on the northeast coast of Brazil, mainly between Fortaleza and São Luís. For many people, this area is the best kite destination in the world for several reasons: constant wind, flatwater lagoons, mile upon mile of deserted beaches, deltas where you can kite between mangroves, and spots like the incredible Lençóis Maranhenses, a field of dunes filled with rain water. Our philosophy is “more than just kiting” as we encourage our guests to enjoy everything Brazil offers, mixing exclusive kiting spots with unique nature and local experiences.
Where are you based and when were you established?
Since we arrived in Brazil in 2018, we are living all along the coast! We spend our time traveling from destination to destination, visiting our partners, making new contacts, creating new experiences and of course, enjoying every kite spot.
Where are most of your clients from?
Most of our guests come from Europe, Brazil and the USA.
How long have you and your team been kiting?
Back in 2015, right after our first kite holidays in Spain, we decided that it was time to switch the beautiful, yet cold, Swiss Alps for the ocean lifestyle. Since then, we have never missed a season. Only a couple of years later, we moved to Brazil to enjoy kiting 100% all year long.
What makes you special compared to other kiting businesses?
What we enjoy the most through our job is the relationships, both with our guests and our partners. It is essential to us to personally know each of our guests, and talk to them to understand their objective and expectations for their trip. The same applies to our partners – we have more than 250 that we have personally met through our travels, to make sure we share the same values and philosophy. Today we offer personalized trips to more than 25 destinations, where our partners help us make any dream come true, offering authentic and memorable experiences.
Can you talk us through some special moments from your most recent trip/season?
The first one would be the clinic we ran with TheKiteMag Clinics and super coach Rita Arnaus. It was great seeing this passionate group progress together! We can’t wait for next season’s clinics, for which we are already working on a unique program… Stay tuned! This season we spent two weeks in the Delta do Parnaíba, the biggest Delta in the Americas, sleeping in local communities, fishing for our dinner, and finding remote kite spots surrounded by unique scenery. We also got to know the best guides for each of those experiences, and this promises to be our star experience for the coming season.
Anything special lined up for the next few months?
Work less and kite more! As the rainy season kicks in, we will enjoy some more wind abroad. We are already looking forward to being back in Brazil in July, as we are planning on driving further down the coast to explore every remote and authentic destination. Let’s not forget that Brazil has more than 7000 km of coastline.
