KITING SET UP
At Ocean Academy, we make kiting accessible to everyone, whether you’re a beginner or an expert. We offer tailored tuition for all levels, from introductory courses to progression and improvement lessons, ensuring a great experience for every guest. Our watersports center is located at an outstanding kite spot on our private beach, where guests have access to two areas: the main versatile freeride spot, ideal for kiting and winging, and the “piscine” (the pool), which offers the comfort of touching the bottom wherever you go. The wind is side/onshore, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all skill levels.
WHEN IS BEST TO GO?
Dakhla offers over 300 windy days per year, with an average wind strength of 15 to 20 knots and mild temperatures year-round, making it an ideal location for kiting all year long. The best wind stats are from February to November.
NO WIND?
On non-windy days, guests can enjoy a wide range of activities at the resort. Whether it’s unwinding at the spa, connecting with nature, or participating in yoga sessions, the focus is on relaxation and rejuvenation in a serene environment. Guests can also explore the region’s wild beauty through excursions, including boat trips, fishing, and surf excursions.
