KITING SET UP

It is set on a turquoise lagoon that is shallow in some areas – ideal for beginners and freeride sessions. There are small to moderate waves, with some reef breaks offshore for more advanced riders. It is best for freeride, freestyle and progression.
C Rodrigues Mourouk is one of the windiest spots in the Indian Ocean with 20-30 knots consistent trade winds. There is a huge, flat, shallow lagoon with crystal-clear water perfect for freestyle and freeride. There are offshore reef breaks for waveriders seeking a thrill. It is best for freestyle, freeride and waveriding.
WHEN IS BEST TO GO?
May to October is ideal for perfect wind conditions. You could visit at the end of June when we will hold the fourth edition of our iconic C Kite Festival at C Mauritius, bringing thrills, color and unforgettable vibes to the east coast of Mauritius. We also have two kite camps coming up, the first at C Mauritius just before the C Kite Festival and the second at C Rodrigues just after the Festival – perfect timing to tie in doing both the Festival and one of the camps. Pro kiter Antoine Auriol will be your coach for the first camp and top-level competitors Val Garat and Louka Pitot will coach the second camp. As well as daily coaching from them there will be yoga sessions, excursions, downwinders and beach parties. This is your chance to learn from some of the best in the sport.
NO WIND?
There are loads of options for those rare no-wind days – take out a SUP or kayak, try our sea trampoline, go snorkeling or diving, or do a boat excursion. There are island tours available, hiking and nature trails, local culinary experiences, village and market visits. At the resorts we have yoga and stretching sessions, spa treatments and massages, beach volleyball, pétanque, and poolside fun, and at C Mauritius we have tennis and padel courts. We also host beach parties and live music, and there are game and chill zones.
