Kitesurfing holidays you can look forward to in 2018
With the new year just around the corner, the team at Planet Kitesurf Holidays are already planning your 2018 vacation. Here’s what they think you should look forward to in 2018:
Fantastic new destinations
The team at Planet Kitesurf Holidays spent 2017 scouring the seas for the best new destinations for your next kitesurfing holiday. Their new discoveries include a brand new sports resort in quiet corner of Portugal. FeelViana offers kiters a prime location on a fantastic beach with conditions to suit any level while the surrounding area offers a host of cultural and historical attractions. Then on a secluded island in Greece, the brand new resort of Keros Blue offers stylish luxury accommodation. Keros Bay in Limnos offers three levels of kitesurfing conditions in the same bay – flat water, chop and waves are all on offer here. Finally on the kitesurfing paradise of Mauritius a number of resorts have been recently renovated and reopened their spectacular new doors in 2017 – offering an unsurpassed level of luxury to guests. Be sure to check out Lux Grand Gaube, Heritage Le Telfair and 20 Degrees South on your next kitesurfing holiday to Mauritius!
New developments in Dakhla
A new hotel, PK 25 will open its doors in Dakhla in March 2018 as the sister hotel to the popular Dakhla Attitude. Dakhla attitude has also extended its offering to families with a new kids club running all year long while kids under 4 stay for free and kids between the ages of 4 and 12 only pay a tiny supplement when sharing with their parents. You can also look forward to yoga and kitesurfing packages at Westpoint Wave Camp and for the fourth year in a row, the Sirens of the Desert event will be hosted in Dakhla in March 2018. Encouraging women to take part in the world of water sports, women can enjoy fantastic specials on rental and lessons during this time. The centre at Ocean Vagabond is also offering an amazing downwinder to the white dune in 2018. This is a perfect experience for more advanced kitesurfers who enjoy an adventure.
Kitefoiling
Kitefoiling is growing ever more popular by the day and Planet Kitesurf is excited to offer this new sport at many of the centres around the globe. You can already learn to kitefoil or rent foiling equipment from Tarifa while a number of other destinations will offer kitefoiling from spring of 2018. Rental and private or semi private lessons will be on offer in Cabarete, Dakhla, Essaouira and Golf de Roses in 2018 so you can be sure to take up this sport in the new year!
Don’t miss out on South Africa!
The team at Planet Kitesurf Holidays love South Africa so much that they opened their very own office there at the beginning of 2017. But if you want to enjoy all this amazing country has to offer you better be quick because they are already half way through their season. At the beginning of January, Cape Town will play host to the Red Bull King of the Air – an exciting spectacle you don’t want to miss! Then in March 2018 you can enjoy your very own week of SUPing, yoga and kitesurfing in Langebaan. The location is perfect for morning SUP yoga as the lagoon is calmest in the morning, while kitesurfing is perfect in the afternoon with the wind only starting to blow around lunchtime. Planet has also spent the year putting together some fantastic Garden Route and safari tours that can easily be combined with a kitesurfing holiday to Langebaan and Cape Town and you can rest assured knowing you are getting the best of the best as they have been there, done that!
