No sponsors, no prize money, just pure glory: these are the fundamentals of a totally grass roots new contest about to happen in Hood River, Oregon, this next week (August 1st-7th). There will be one build day and two days of competing within this 7 day window.
Organised by The Slider Project (which icludes the likes of Colleen Carroll, Craig Cunningham, Brandon Scheid and Rich Sabo) the Hood River Slider Jam consists of kickers and sliders only. And although there are no sponsors or prize money for this low key event, the invitee roster is glowing… all competitors from the recent Venyu Triple-S have been invited, and there is also the chance to win yourself a ‘wildcard' entry into the event!
