7-Nation & Ride Engine welcome Julien Fillion to design team Ride Engine is pleased to announce the addition of a watersports legend to its design team. Julien Fillion, an accomplished athlete and designer in the wind, wave and watersports industries, will contribute with design and engineering at Ride Engine effective immediately. Fillion will design largely from his home base in Montreal, as well as traveling the world wherever else the wind and waves take him. Teaming up with Fillion is another major indication of the commitment and expectation that Ride Engine as a brand has for future growth and success. Earlier this year, Ride Engine hired Gary Siskar- also a longtime legend in the industry- to take the helm as Brand Manager. Siskar and Fillion have built a strong working relationship over the years, bringing even greater value to adding Fillion to the team at this time. “Julien is an accomplished designer with more than a decade of high-level experience in the industry,” says Gary Siskar. “He’s also a talented waterman, a musician, an artist, a big wave surfer, foiler, world traveler and kitesurfing pioneer. He has a lifelong passion for the ocean, the waves and mother nature, which embodies the Ride Engine ethos perfectly. Needless to say, we’re pretty excited to welcome him to the team.” Fillion will focus on helping design, overhaul, upgrade and expand Ride Engine’s line of harnesses, hydrofoils, bags, softgoods and accessories, with some exciting developments in the works for 2020 and beyond. “Ride Engine is all about problem solving through product and innovation,” Siskar said. “It all starts with putting together an A-team of talented and creative individuals, and Ride Engine is committed to growing that A-team. I see a lot of bigger things for the future of the brand.” About 7-Nation: 7-Nation is a board sports brand run by outdoor enthusiasts with a personal passion for the equipment they create. 7-Nation operates Slingshot Sports, Ride Engine and Moonshine MFG and is headquartered in the adventure-sports mecca of Hood River, Oregon.
