This is NORTH Surf 2025

North launch into 2025 with their surf range: at one with it all.

The Carve

The new Carve is a powerful, reactive and controllable surf/strapless freestyle kite, with a stable, lower aspect ratio design for fast pivot turns and excellent drift.

For 2025, kite designer Dano See has refined the Carve bridling for increased depower and responsive finger steering, so the kite feels lighter, faster turning and more agile. It also has a cleaner, more aerodynamic canopy profile and lighter bar pressure, which results in more stable, efficient drifting.

“The improved overall balance with more sweep in the tips enhances drift,” explains Dano, “so when you’re surfing, it glides down the line, waiting for your bar input. The wing tips are light, and the smooth curve and shape draft back ensure balance.”

The 2025 Carve is smoother, more stable and manageable in gusty conditions. Its thinner LE diameter reduces pulling, while the added sweep enables effortless roll to relaunch.

The Cross Pro

North’s newest directional board, the Cross Pro, maintains the slightly wider, traditional surf shape of the Cross, in an ultra-thin Dynalite construction specifically engineered for kitesurfing, with maximum durability and direct response. The Cross Pro has a refined low-volume shape that performs incredibly in smaller, mushy waves and onshore conditions, and can handle harder landings. Light and fast with an immediate edgy and reactive feel, the Cross Pro lets you drive effortlessly upwind, carve a tight turn or smack the lip.

My go-to, one-board quiver. The Cross Pro is a souped-up version of the Cross: engineered lighter, thinner and faster to perform at the highest level in everyday conditions – everything from small onshore waves to overhead barrels. The sensation in freestyle is similar to a Comp Pro, with added polyvalence for the waves. – Camille Delannoy
