For 2025, North reveals the Orbit in three different technologies – including Pro and Ultra. All three types of Orbit guarantee big jumps, big hang Dme, big wind range, and the megaloops are unrivalled. The difference, says North Director of Design Engineering, Hugh Pinfold, is in the materials, and how these materials affect the design of each kite, its personality, and its performance in extreme conditions.
For uncompromised strength and durability, all of the inflated structures and the wings in the Orbit are constructed from the highest quality industry-proven N-Dure2 Dacron with the best strength to weight ratio in a heavy-duty application. For 2025, North has refined the Orbit for faster turning, a more direct turning response, more vertical lift and even greater stability.
A higher-performance, faster-flying version of the Orbit, the Pro is for intermediate to advanced riders who want to take their tricks to the next level. It offers very high performance value for more extreme boosts, double loops, and board-offs.
North’s highest-performing kite is precision-engineered for the more advanced Big Air kiter, who is ready to throw triple loops and win contests. It delivers higher performance in steering, lightness, and directness, but you’ll need to be a more active pilot.
